Tomato Soup Recalled

A Pennsylvania company recently announced the recall of their tomato soup product due to an discovered error in labeling. The soup, which was sold at H-E-B stores in Texas, could potentially contain undeclared dairy allergens not listed on the label. This poses a serious health risk for those with sensitivities or allergies to dairy products.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday announced the recall of 32-ounce Meal Simple Tomato Basil Soup from Bakkavor USA in Jessup, Pennsylvania. The product is labeled “Meal Simple Beef Chili with Beans.” and has a “best used by” date of Dec. 2, 2022. Dairy was not present on the label since the Tomato Basil Soup does not contain it. No reports of illnesses linked to the recall have surfaced yet.
