Tom Holland Cast as Young Nathan Drake

There’s some forward movement on the Uncharted movie!

Deadline is reporting that the Spider-Man Homecoming‘s Tom Holland has joined the upcoming project. The redrafted version of the script for Uncharted will be a prequel to the video game series.

Holland will play a young Nathan Drake as the movie will take viewers through Drake’s formative years and include his introduction to Victor “Sully” Sullivan, who fans of the game have gotten to know over the series. According to Deadline, the inspiration for the movie draws from a sequence in the third game.

Uncharted has been a project that’s been churning for a while and has seen multiple writers come and go with potential drafts for the script. The project has also had many fans dream casting everyone from Nathan Fillion to Jensen Ackles for titular role over the years.

With Shawn Levy set to direct the film, the studio now looks to a new writer to draft up the prequel.

What do you think of the casting and the direction the studio is going with Uncharted?
