The pumpkin-suit wearing spooky man will be appearing in a new Halloween animated special. The character of David S. Pumpkins first appeared on the Saturday Night Live (SNL) a year ago in October. He was such a hit that he reappeared again in SNL‘s season finale.
Hanks will be joined by Peter Dinklage, Mikey Day, Streeter Seidell, and Bobby Moynihan who will all be voicing various characters. Day and Moynihan were part of the original skit as Hanks’s goofy sidekick skeletons.
According to NBC, the special will be, “Set in a small suburban town on All Hallows’ Eve, the special centers on David Pumpkins and his skeleton sidekicks who show a young boy and his sister the true meaning of Halloween, answering none of their questions along the way.”
The half-hour special airs tomorrow night October 28 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
