Tom Cavanagh and Grant Gustin Are Two Idiot Thieves in First ‘Tom and Grant’ Trailer

Barry Allen and Harrison Wells may be arch rivals on The CW’s The Flash, but in real life, Grant Gustin and Tom Cavanagh are actually great friends:

The Flash pair often document their bromance on Instagram with plenty of shots from the set:

And apparently, the two love working together so much that they decided to make their very own short film together, fittingly titled Tom and Grant. Written and directed by Cavanagh, Tom and Grant stars the two actors as a pair of small-time dim-witted thieves who plan to rob a bank by robbing the robbers who rob it first.

“Part of the subtext to all of this thing that I wrote and directed is political, about the political times that we’re living in, but the presentation is completely comic; it’s dark comic,” Cavanaugh told EW.

The thing that appeals to both Grant and I, and it’s not something that we get to do often, but the idea of somebody who thinks they’re really, really smart, but in truth is really, really dumb. I find that to be extremely appealing, character-wise. In this scenario, we play Tom and Grant, the two most inept bank robbers ever.

It’s R rated; it’s not for the family. It’s got blood and gun-play and heists and car chases, and I think that it’s something that both Grant and I are phenomenally excited about putting before the public.”

It certainly looks like it’s going to be a hilarious and wild ride. Plus, it will be really amusing to see the two trying out some characters vastly different than their superhero counterparts. Check out the full trailer below!

Tom and Grant will be released this March and you can head to their official website for more!
