Throwback Thursday: ‘The Santa Clause’
Happy Throwback Thursday everyone, and a Happy Holidays to you! Have you gotten all of your Holiday Shopping done yet? I know there are two or three last minute things I still need to grab! … or you know five or six.
Anyway, speaking of presents we have a special Throwback Thursday for you today! When you find yourself getting into that Christmas spirit, do you begin playing music or watching Christmas movies? I know I sure do, and there is one movie that is on my absolute must watch list every year and that is The Santa Clause.
I have watched this twice so far in the past week (and proud of it!) and I have to say that while I absolutely loved this movie as a kid – it is so much more humorous to watch as an adult!
The Santa Clause is a 1994 Christmas family comedy film and is in fact the first installment in The Santa Clause trilogy. The movie stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary business man who accidentally causes Santa Claus to fall from his roof. He then dons Santa’s coat, and finishes Santa’s trip for the night. At the end of the night, they go to the North Pole where Scott learns that he must become the new Santa. From there, he and his son Charlie find themselves battling to convince everyone that he is, in fact Saint Nick.
All three Santa Clause films are now available on Netflix – so be sure to check it out! In the mean time, here is the original trailer that was released for the film:
