‘Throwback Thursday’: Indian in the Cupboard

Happy ‘Throwback Thursday’ Everyone!! Today I was actually up in my attic, trying to get things cleared up for our neighborhood yard sale. (You know, you would really be surprised at some of the stuff you find in your attic when prepping for a yard sale). One thing that caught my attention was an old VHS Tape (yes, that’s right… a VHS tape!) and it was for one of my favorite childhood movies that I used to love: The Indian in the Cupboard.

We all had seen films like Toy Story growing up; and we loved it. The idea of our toys and stuffed animals coming to life when we left the room?? Talk about cool!! But with a movie like Indian in the Cupboard, you could make your favorite toys come to life… and have a conversation with them!!

The Indian in the Cupboard is a 1995 American adventure fantasy film produced by Paramount Pictures and directed by Frank Oz and written by Melissa Mathison, based on the children’s book of the same name by Lynne Reid Banks. The story is about a boy who receives a cupboard as a gift on his ninth birthday. He later discovers that putting toy figures in the cupboard, after locking and unlocking it, brings the toys to life.

Who else remembers this 90s movie!?
