We’ve still got a few more months before all of our favorite shows have their fall premieres, but some shows require more time in advance to prepare. Mainly, This Is Us, which has a way of making us happy-cry and sad-cry on a weekly basis due to the twists and turns the Pearson family encounter through the decades.
Thankfully, NBC understands that we need ample time to pre-order tissues on Amazon and announced to on social media just when viewers can expect Jack and the gang to be back on their screens! Check out their adorable video below, which shows Jack’s Birthday and Big Three Day on the calendar before flipping to September to reveal that season 3 will be airing on the 25th. Mark your calendars!

Season 2 of This Is Us left off at Kate and Toby’s wedding and ended with a couple of huge flash-forward cliffhangers. We saw a depressed Toby, Kevin traveling to Vietnam to learn more about Jack, and earlier in the season we had seen a much older Randall and Tess talking about going to visit “her”, leading the show into it’s next big “how did Jack die?” mystery.
We got the chance to speak with Jon Huertas, who plays Miguel on the show, earlier this year and he hinted that in addition to diving further into those cliffhangers, we would also get to learn more about Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship as well as Jack and Miguel’s friendship before Rebecca. The series already hinted in one of their promos that we would definitely be traveling back into the past and even deeper to Jack’s days in Vietnam.
This Is Us returns for season 3 on Tuesday, September 25th at 9 pm EST on NBC.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
