It’s This Is Us’ actual Big Three! The family dramedy is just weeks away from premiering its third season and after months of teasers and behind the scenes photos, NBC has finally dropped the show’s first promo. While it’s not a full-on promo, the featurette does show some glimpses from the upcoming season as well as some interviews with the cast. The promo comes fresh off a huge batch of exclusive photos from the season three premiere.
“There’s nothing like coming back home — like, this is where I belong,” Mandy Moore says about returning back to set.
The featurette touches on some of the big moments that have been being teased by Dan Fogelman and the cast over the past few months such as Jack and Rebecca’s first date and Jack’s days in Vietnam. Sterling K. Brown confirmed that the “her” mentioned in Randall and Tess’ flash forward scene will be “illuminated” throughout the season, so fans won’t have to wait nearly as long as they did for Jack’s death. Kate and Toby’s depression flash forward is also previewed in the promo and Chrissy Metz and Chris Sullivan both discuss the challenges the two will go through trying to start a family. Kevin and Zoe’s budding relationship is clearly rubbing Beth the wrong way to the point where she can’t even look at Kevin. It’s actually hilarious. Check out the full promo below!
NBC will also be airing a one hour special prior to the premiere titled The Paley Center Salutes This Is Us. It will feature “clips, interviews with the stars and creators, and a behind-the-scenes look at how the series comes together each week.” Fans can also expect some highlights from seasons one and two to be discussed with their favorite This Is Us writers, producers, and cast members including Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, and Susan Kelechi Watson will chime in on their thoughts on what’s to come for the Pearson family.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
