There’s A New Sweet Tooth Trailer! Check It Out Here! Thank You Netflix And DC!

There’s a new Sweet Tooth trailer! For those who don’t know about this strange little comic, Sweet Tooth is one of the most popular comics to come out of DC‘s Vertigo imprint! There’s a Netflix series coming this summer and there’s a brand new trailer for it!

The comic is written by Jeff Lemire and the first season of the Netflix show will have eight episodes. No words on a renewal, obviously, but the show is heavily anticipated. Fans are undoubtedly excited!

There are even more reasons to be hyped to. Not only is Netflix, reportedly, putting a ton of money into the show but… Robert Downey Jr. is producing. You may remember Downer Jr. from such films as most Marvel films.

On Monday morning, we were given a really good look at what the series is going to be like. You can check it out too below!

Sweet Tooth stars Christian Convery as Gus, Nonso Anozie as Tommy Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Aditya Singh, Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden, Neil Sandilands as General Abbot, Will Forte as Father, and James Brolin as Narrator.

Jim Mickie is one of two showrunners along with writing, directing, and executive producing. Beth Schwartz is the second showrunner and she’ll also be writing and executive producing. Other executive producers include Susan Downey, Robert Downey Jr., Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran.

Here’s the synopsis for the series

“Ten years ago The Great Crumble wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids — babies born part human, part animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. After a decade of living safely in his secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). Together they set out on an extraordinary adventure across what’s left of America in search of answers— about Gus’ origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home. But their story is full of unexpected allies and enemies, and Gus quickly learns the lush, dangerous world outside the forest is more complex than he ever could have imagined.”
