This summer, Nickelodeon legends Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell will be finally reuniting and things are going to get a little messy! The beloved duo will be going head-to-head on Nickelodeon’s newly revived Double Dare later on this summer. Mitchell took to Instagram to share the news with his followers via a short video.
In the video, you can see Mitchell sporting the signature Double Dare blue t-shirt and helmet as well as the ever important safety goggles. As he pans to his left, Thompson enters the frame sporting the opposing red t-shirt and full protective garb. Mitchell captioned the post, “Uh oh! The boys are in the building! Fun time shooting Double Dare today with the bro! make sure you watch the premiere tonight on Nickelodeon and check out the hour special with me and Kenan later this summer!”

Entertainment Weekly caught up with Mitchell who expressed his sheer excitement over participating in the Double Dare series. He said: “I am so excited to be playing on Double Dare and for whole new generation of kids to experience this iconic game show. This episode will be double special because Kenan and I will be playing against each other and we are both huge fans of Double Dare! I can’t wait to see the super talented Liza Koshy rock it as the new host!”
We can’t wait to see these two go head-to-head in this messy competition! Thompson and Mitchell starred in the Nickelodeon show Kenan and Kel from 1996-2000 and also starred in the film Good Burger together which was based on a skit in their sketch comedy show All That. Their episode of Double Dare will air sometime this summer!
Double Dare airs weeknights at 8 pm EST on Nickelodeon.
