‘The X-Files’ Returning to FOX For Eleventh Season
X-Philes, prepare yourselves: There’s an all new season heading your way very soon!
FOX announced today that production on a 10-episode event series of The X-Files will begin this summer with series stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and creator Chris Carter all returning. On the series’ return, Fox Broadcasting president Dave Madden issued this statement:
“Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide. Chris’ creativity along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon.”

No release date is scheduled yet, however, the new season is scheduled to come to FOX during the 2017-2018 TV season.
