‘The X-Files’ Brings Back Amell and Ambrose for Season 11

The X-Files Season 11 is finally getting underway. News broke today that two familiar faces will be returning for the new season.

In the season 11 revival, the series introduced us to young agents Einstein and Miller, played by Lauren Ambrose and Robbie Amell. The pair bore a spooky resemblance to a younger version of Mulder and Scully, not only in appearance but in their approach to the case.

The reappearance of Agents Miller and Einstein is not all that surprising. In a recent article on EW, David Madden, FOX entertainment chairman has come out saying that season 12 of The X-Files will primarily leave the big mythology-laden episodes in the past.

Even though Madden says the new season picks up right where season 11 left off, most of the episodes will be concentrated on stand-alone type cases, but with a central story surrounding Mulder and Scully’s son, William. How these returning agents will fit into the story is still among the truth to be discovered, but I am happy to see them come back.

Are you excited for the pair’s inclusion in the upcoming season of The X-Files when it returns to FOX early in 2018?
