On Tuesday night, 3 out of the 4 members of the fictional “boy band” The Wonders reunited for a one night only event for The Goddamn Comedy Jam!

Tom Everett Scott (Guy Patterson), Johnathon Schaech (Jimmy Mattingly), and Ethan Embry (The Bass Player), who starred in the 1996 film That Thing You Do reunited in LA at the Roxy to play their fictional hit song turned actual hit song.  The only band member missing from the reunion was Steve Zahn who played Lenny Haise in the film.

That Thing You Do! was written and directed by Tom Hanks, who also played the role of the band’s manager, Mr. White.  The film followed the boys all the way from their local band days in Erie, PA through the whirlwind of touring, scoring a hit record and becoming a one-hit wonder, thus the name the Wonders (or Oneders).

Over 20 years later, they’ve still got it!  Check out the posts from Instagram and Twitter below showing the guys totally killing it playing the band’s smash hit That Thing You Do!
