Norman Reedus may be best known for his role as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, but the actor may be set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a recent interview, Reedus hinted that he’s taking on a major Marvel role.
Talking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor was asked if the rumours are true that he’ll be joining the MCU as a major character. Reedus said: “If it is the case, I don’t know quite yet – but would I like to? Yeah, absolutely.”
He added: “I have been such a big fan of the Marvel world since I was little, so the opportunity to be in one of the movies would be amazing.
“Can we start the petition – can we do the petition?”
According to reports, Marvel is working on a new Ghost Rider film and that the studio may have even cast its Johnny Blaze; Norman Reedus has been agreeing with fans that he would be an excellent choice for the part.
The Walking Dead star caused a stir by liking numerous tweets celebrating the news, following reports claiming Marvel Studios had chosen Reedus as the flamming stunt motorcyclist on Twitter.
Among the tweets liked by Reedus are tweets such as, “Hell yeah, I’m all for Norman Reedus being the MCU Ghost Rider”, “norman reedus as ghost rider? i’m on my knees”, and “As an early adopter of the ‘Norman Reedus should be Ghost Rider’ movement, I finally feel seen now that the entire internet is in agreement over this.”

So, he’s definitely game.
Norman Reedus has previously expressed his adoration for Marvel’s anti-hero, with the actor previously doing so, telling ComicBook.com that he wants “to play Ghost Rider”.
“The Ghost Rider conversation has been coming up for years, and yeah, tell them to put me in it,” he said. “So, I don’t know, call somebody, make that happen. I want to do it.”
“I want a fire skull,” he added, understandably. “I want my face to turn into a fire skull and whip a chain around. That would be great.”
