‘The Walking Dead: Worth’ Review

Spoiler Warning: Please only read ahead if you have watched episode 814 of The Walking Dead.

Every Troublemaker must come to a point where they’ve officially caused too much trouble. One of the toughest henchmen of the past few season of the series has met his match.

If slaughtering an entire community and defying Negan’s orders multiple times wasn’t enough-plotting to overthrow him and kill him was the final straw for Negan.

I feel like it was fitting for Negan to let him turn as well-Simon makes a darn good walker.

Speaking of Negan being hard on people, he is surprisingly not being hard on Dwight. Yet. He knows about Dwight’s shenanigans, but either Negan has drained his murderous ways on Simon this week, or he has something much worse planned for Dwight.

Either way, I hope Dwight comes out on top.

It also seems that Negan is all around over it. His walkie talkie conversation with Negan proved that.

Rick finally reads Carl’s letter-perhaps too late. Carl rehashing everything Rick taught him was both emotional and cathartic to see.

Some snippets that stood out:

I felt happy and special holding your hand. I felt safe.

I thought growing up was about getting a job.

I want to make you feel safe dad. To make you feel the way I felt when you held my hand.
Find a way forward somehow, you don’t have to forget what happened. Every life is worth something.

We hope his words start to have some meaning for Rick, and that from here on out he starts over.

Gabriel’s sorrows are pretty heartbreaking, and Eugene is not doing himself any favors with his attitude, and with his vomiting all over Rosita.

Her words to him are pretty powerful too.

You’re gonna do something useful with your pathetic life. Shooting ou in the head right here would make the world a better place.

One last highlight from the episode-the opposite of Eugene, he risked his life in the muddy, walker filled rain in order to get Oceanside to help him.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty awesome episode. It showed some typical Negan, and contained some unexpected twists as well.

What did you think of the way Simon went out? Let us know in the comments.
