The Walking Dead: Spin-Off With Daryl & Carol Is Something Completely New!

Daryl and Carol have been some of the most popular characters in The Walking Dead for a long time now. It wasn’t that surprising when it was announced that the two would be getting a spin-off called Daryl & Carol. Very little is known about this spin-off but Norman Reedus did reveal that the spin-off is COMPLETELY different from The Walking Dead!

The fact that this spin-off will be completely different is a good thing if you ask me. In fact, if the whole thing was just going to be The Walking Dead with these characters… they may as well have just kept The Walking Dead going.

It seems like that won’t be the case, though.

Reedus obviously can’t reveal very much, but he was answering some tweets for IMDB and that’s where he revealed the fact that the spin-off is completely different from The Walking Dead. “I can’t tell you a whole lot about the spin-off. I can tell you that it won’t look anything like The Walking Dead. It won’t look like an episode of Walking Dead with just Daryl and Carol. It’ll be completely different.” he said.

He actually spoke about the spin-off, or at least what could have been, on The Talking Dead as well. It sounds like the plans were originally different and would have had both Daryl & Carol leave the show. Eventually, they would return but the fact that season 11 turned out to be the last season sort of ruined those plans. Reedus was actually surprised that season 11 was the final one.

“I’ve always loved the relationship with Daryl and Carol, and we play off of each other so well. It’s a different type of show. It’s a show of hope. It’s not two groups fighting for territory or something like that. It’s she and I on the road, seeing who is left out in the world, and it kind of opens up a lot of possibilities.” he said on The Talking Dead. Quick note that we found the quote on
