The Walking Dead: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Prefers TWD Over This Other Iconic Role! Seems Like Its Negan All The Way!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has had more comic book roles than almost any other actor in Hollywood. The guy just seems to naturally gravitate towards them. This works out well since he’s so great at them. Turns out Jeffrey Dean Morgan prefers being in The Walking Dead over ANOTHER role he’s quite famous for. Yep, Morgan prefers TWD!

He’s been The Comedian, Thomas Wayne, and even had a role in Jonah Hex. He’s played many comic book characters and may be preparing to play another. “We’ll see, I have something maybe cooking and I’ll let you know soon if that turns out to be,” Morgan told CinePOP. “But I love the world of comic books and hope I get to stay playing in this world for a long time.”

The Walking Dead: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Prefers TWD Over This Other Iconic Role! Seems Like Its Negan All The Way!

You might know Jeffrey Dean Morgan from another iconic role, though. No, I’m not talking about his time on Grey’s Anatomy. No one’s going to cut his L-Vad wire anytime soon. I’m talking, of course, about his role as John Winchester on Supernatural.

When asked which hit supernatural series Morgan would miss more, he told CinePOP, “The Walking Dead – because I am here every day for the last, you know, six years. Supernatural, I did, you know, a total of, I don’t know, 14 or 15 episodes over the course of [the show].”

Morgan continued, “I’m very close to [Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki of Supernatural] and I still talk to them regularly. But The Walking Dead, I live in Georgia with this family for 7, 8 months of the year, and then usually I’m with [Norman Reedus] doing press somewhere else in the world for another couple months… [The Walking Dead] is a different thing and I’ll very much miss this [show] being part of my life.”

So there you have it, from Negan himself. It’s pretty obvious he loves the role of Negan. It’s easy to tell with how much energy he puts into each performance as the bat-wielding former villain. He enjoys it enough that talks about a spin-off are happening.

In April, Morgan stated, “We’ll see, it’s definitely being talked about. I think they’re thinking about a couple of different ideas, but I’ve definitely had conversations about possibly continuing the story of Negan.”

Are you surprised that Morgan prefers TWD? We’re not! Let us know in the comments, though!

The Walking Dead is back this August on AMC.
