‘The Walking Dead’ Fans Reveal Their Favorite Rick Grimes Moments

In honor of Rick Grimes’ final episode on The Walking Dead, we decided to ask our Fan Fest community to share what their favorite Rick moments from the past nine seasons has been.
It’s been a long and emotional journey for the man who started it all, and while we are not ready to say goodbye, we are extremely thankful for all of the wonderful and badass moments Rick Grimes is leaving behind. Check out the awesome responses below!

Riding on horseback into Atlanta. The scene in the tank was awesome. –Elizabeth Borelli
Near the very beginning when he is in the hospital bed and he wakes up talking to Shane. then he feels the flowers and they crumble. –Ken Gibbs
My favorite Rick Grimes moment is when he is in Atlanta and heard Glenn’s voice come on the radio in the tank. It’s my favorite because it shows that even some strangers can help in a time of need. –gameritzhaileyz

I have 2 favorite moments 1st is when Rick is talking to the walker that’s pulling itself across the grass and says ‘I’m sorry this happened to you’. My second favorite moment is when he reunites with Carl and his wife! Tears me up every time! –vee_chip
When Rick Grimes holds Carl in his arms and is running to Hershel’s farm to save Carl’s life. –Joey Krueger

The moment when he bites Joe’s jugular out was great, but his acting was awesome when he and the group were on their knees in front of Negan in the woods. –Alison Cook
When the group of men attacks him, Michonne, and Carl on the side of the road and he bites the guy’s neck and kills him then stabs the guy who’s attacking his son. He showed no mercy in this scene. –Mary Galati
When he bites the guys face off and goes full rage mode to keep Carl safe. It shows a father will do ANYTHING to keep his kids safe. –Carlos Chavez

When he takes out Frickin’ JOE! What an amazing scene. It was so over the top emotional. He was not going to let them hurt Carl or Michonne! –@iowamamaof3
My number 1 is when Gareth had Rick and group captive and he asks Rick what was in the bag he buried in the woods. Rick tells him all the weapons and the last thing he tells him is, “and a machete with a red handle…that’s what I’m going to use to kill you with.” Then in father Gabriel’s church, he does just that. –Scott Morris

Hands down, my favorite Rick Grimes moment is the “democracy speech.” It’s the moment he realized what the world was and what he needed to do to keep his family safe. –Dennis Hammond

One of my favorite moments in the life of Rick Grimes was when the Governor killed Hershel and Rick screamed “Nooooooo!” Then he began to kick ass. The fight with the Governor was brutal, but Rick Grimes’ emotion in that episode was Emmy worthy! -@chazspaz

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
