‘The Walking Dead’ EP Tells Fans, “You’ll Be Out Of Your Misery Very Soon”

We have a long summer ahead
of us after the cliffhanger season
finale of ‘The Walking Dead
but, perhaps Executive Producer,
Gale Anne
Hurd just gave us some good news.

At a screening for
Fear the
Walking Dead’,
Hurd told Digital Spy, “You’ll
be
out of your misery very soon in the new season.” Great!! We won’t have
to wait
too long into Season
7 to find out which one of our favorite characters was on
the receiving end
of a grand slam swing by Negan
and Lucille.

While this
should be somewhat comforting to
fans,
knowing that the controversial cliffhanger ending will be resolved
quickly in
season 7, Hurd
promptly brings us back to our fictional reality that we will
also be losing
someone we love by adding ,
“…and, I guess, so will somebody
else!”

Many involved with the show,
including Greg
Nicotero
, Scott
Gimple, and even Chris Hardwick have all spoken out with their opinions
on
the finale episode however,
fans continue to fume over being left in the dark
about the most anticipated
death in the show’s

history.

Hurd sympathizes with fans saying, “I understand the
frustration
but we wanted this
moment to be about the introduction of Negan. Jeffrey Dean
Morgan is
fantastic… The cliffhanger is something
that is very common, not only
in ‘The Walking Dead’, but in Robert
Kirkman’s comic book series…I

want to know what happens next too – believe me! Honestly, I do not know
who it
is.”

And so, we
will continue to wait, and wait, and wait until October
when the show will
pick up where it left
off.

7 with Scott Gimple and Jeffrey Dean Morgan
