‘The Walking Dead’: Daryl is Finally Getting a Dog!
There’s a new star in town!
In a new preview for The Walking Dead episode 9×06, it’s revealed that the Whisperers are coming, but also that Daryl Dixon has finally gotten the dog fans have always wanted for him.
In the clip, we see Daryl walking across a field, following the pup. We later see the two leading the group through a field.
The Walking Dead Instagram account posted the clip, with the caption: Yes, Daryl has a dog. Yes, Henry’s a teenager, and yes, The Whisperers arrive this Sunday. Get ready for #thewalkingdead to get scary again!
The pup looks to be a young adult Shepherd or Malinois, and is most likely extremely intelligent. Keep in mind that as of this Sunday, we have jumped 6 years into the future. If you add on the additional 3 and a half years that made up season 1-9, that makes the apocalypse almost 10 years old. That dog was more than likely born into the apocalypse.
Are you excited to see Daryl find a soul pup?
We can only hope that the dog doesn’t see the same fate as Shivva did, because our hearts cant’ take that.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 PM ET on AMC.
