Veteran Youn Yuh-jung took home the Best Supporting Actress award after winning Jordan Peele’s nope. Yeun has a jam-packed future schedule that now includes a new Netflix project.
As per Discussing Film, at least the pilot and potentially more episodes of the series will be directed by Chung, who is also co-producing it with A24. Ali Wong will star alongside him; she’s no stranger to YouTube success after writing and starring in the recent comedy Always Be My Maybe.
Beef focuses on two people who are involved in a road rage incident, one of whom is slowly consumed by the tragedy in the weeks after. The project was first announced this past March, with cameras set to begin rolling next month and ending in July 2022.
