The Umbrella Academy is getting the streaming treatment.

Netflix announced this week that the Gerard Way, Gabriel Bá graphic novel will be coming to the streaming service in the form of a ten episode live-action series.

The Umbrella Academy follows members of a dysfunctional superhero family: The Monocle, Spaceboy, The Kraken, The Rumor, The Séance, Number Five, The Horror, and The White Violin. After their father passes away, they come back together to try and figure out the mysterious circumstances of his death.

“I am thrilled that The Umbrella Academy has found a home at Netflix. I couldn’t think of a better place for the vision Gabriel Bá and myself had when creating the comic, and cannot wait for people to experience that world as a live action show,” said Gerard Way.

The Umbrella Academy is set to debut some time in 2018 and Steve Blackman is attached as executive producer and showrunner.
