New York Comic Con 2018 is underway at the Javits Center and other locations in the area surrounding the Midtown West area of Manhattan. We’re going to take a look at some of the most awaited comic book panels for NYCC 2018, when and where to find them, and some details about each panel. The show will take place on the United States’ East Coast, times are listed in EST.
DC Comics Publishers
Co-publishers Dan Didio and Jim Lee will kick off NYCC by giving an overview of the company’s upcoming titles including MAD Magazine, DC Black Label Imprint, Vertigo Comics and the main DC line. The panel will be open on October 4, 2018, at 1:45 P.M. in Room 1A21 at the Javits Center.
A presentation about Image Comics current and upcoming horror titles will be done on 4th October from 6:30 P.M. in Room 1A18 at the Javits Center. Members of the panel include W. Maxwell Prince, Pornsack Pichetshote, Mathew Rosenberg, Jock, Dennis Culver, and Will Denis.
We’ve been expecting the Vertigo imprint to take 2019 by storm. DC Vertigo will have its panel on 5th October, from 11:15 A.M. in Room 1A21 at the Javits Center focusing on upcoming titles like Hex Wives, Goddess Mode, and Safe Sex. Panellists are yet to be announced.
October 5 at 1:30 pm in Room 1A06 in the Javits Center, Geoff John will be part of the panel speaking about the upcoming Shazam! Comic book relaunch, Batman: The Three Jokers, and Doomsday Clock.
Marvel Comics: Spider-Man
The panel is scheduled for Friday, October 5 at 5:30 pm in Room 1A10 in the Javits Center. Panellists will include Nick Spencer and Saladin Ahmed, with a presentation about the upcoming Spider-Geddon.
DC Spotlight on Tom King
Tom King will be part of the panel on Saturday, October 6 at 11:15 am in Room 1A21 in the Javits Center. The presentation will focus on his current work with Batman, Mister Miracle, and Heroes in Crisis.
DC Superman 80th
2018 is the 8th anniversary of 1938 Superman by Joe Siegel and Jerry Schuster, and Dc Comics will be focusing on Superman at NYCC 2018 in commemoration. The panel scheduled for Saturday, October 6 at 2:15 pm in Room 1A06 in the Javits Center will be focusing on Superman’s history and his different adaptations over the years. We are yet to know who the panellists will be.
Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing
The Marvel Comics panel is arguably the most high profile panel at NYCC this year. Fans will be hearing of Marvels upcoming titles and plans on Saturday, October 6 at 4:30 pm on Main Stage 1D in the Javits Center. The panellists will include C. B. Cebulski, Jason Aaron, Donny Cates, Gerry Duggan, and Dan Slott.
Marvel Comics: X-Men
The X-Men panel is scheduled for Sunday, October 7 at 11 am in Room 1A10 in the Javits Center with the relaunch of Uncanny X-Men as its focus. Panellists will include Jordan White, Ed Brisson, Sina Grace, Matthew Rosenberg, Charles Soule, and Leah Williams.
The DC Nation panel is going to take place on Sunday, October 7 at 2:30 pm in Room 1A21 in the Javits Center. The presentation will let by Dan Didio, but the rest of the panel is still unknown at the moment.
