The first trailer for The Santa Clauses, the Disney+ series that serves as a sequel to the successful Christmas film franchise, is here. Santa’s going back to work in the Disney+ Original limited series from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television, with comedian Tim Allen reprising his iconic role.

Disney debuted the first look footage during its D23 Expo in Anaheim, revealing Mr and Mrs Claus, starring Elizabeth Mitchell, is set more than 15 years after The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. On November 16, the new Santa Clause series will be available to stream on Disney Plus with a two-episode premiere.

In the show, Scott Calvin is approaching his 65th birthday and coming to terms with the fact that he will not be able to be Santa for much longer. He’s starting to lose a step in his as-Santa responsibilities, and more significantly, he has a family that could benefit from living in the regular world, especially his two children who were raised at the Pole. With plenty of elves, kids, and relatives to please, Scott sets out to discover a suitable alternative Santa while getting ready for a fresh new life in the southern hemisphere.

The trailer focuses on the Calvin/Claus family, including Scott and Carol’s children Cal (Austin Kane) and Sandra (Allen’s actual daughter, Elizabeth Allen Dick). Former head elf Bernard (David Kromholtz), who was last seen in The Santa Clause 2 in 2002, is also returning for the series.

The Disney+ series introduces Simon Choski (Kal Penn)—whose initials are “S.C.” He’s a single father, ambitious game inventor and product developer who takes a life-changing trip to the North Pole with his Christmas-loving daughter, Grace (Rupali Redd). New characters include Noel (Devin Bright), Santa’s trusted right-hand elf; Betty(Matilda Lawler), Santa’s demanding Chief of Staff and job-oriented elf; as well La Befana the Christmas Witch (Laura San Giacomo) ,who resides in the Wobbly Woods near the North Pole.

The Santa Clauses will be streaming on Disney+ this holiday season!
