Since the original film The Purge in 2013, viewers have never had answers to two very important questions. What occurs the remaining 364 days of the year after the purge? I realized my question will finally have an answer. Upon watching the sneak peek into season two of The Purge television series, Although there will be new characters this season, the show will still focus on the lives of four characters whose lives are interconnected. While I imagine we will get a glimpse of the new characters on purge night, this season’s main focus are the events of the remaining 364 days of the year.
Viewers are thrust into the purge with a mere two hours on the clock in the season two premiere. Instead of seeing the chaos that takes place within the twelve hours, we learn what happens after the purge. We see what happens when someone attempts to kill a person but does not succeed. My assumption at this time is that we will also see the plotting of death for next year’s purge. Also, we realize that some people cannot wait a year. If one does not accomplish that person might refuse to wait a year. They continue hunting down whatever person is in their sight. Lastly, living a normal life might also seem moot after attaining a taste of purge night.

The only questions we appear not to gain answers to pretains to the characters we grew to love last year? Some of them did survive after all. Will we see Pete taking in people at his bar again? What about the Guerrero family, Miguel and Penelope? Last, but not least, what happened to Jenna and her newborn baby? Has the purge spread overseas as last season hinted? We will only know upon watching the premiere of this season whether or not we attain these answers about these characters. What we do know for sure is that according to the tagline for season two is that surviving the night is only just the beginning.
Join us as the purge ends and we explore the remaining 364 days of the year on October 15 at 9/8c on the USA Network.
