‘The Masked Singer’ Renewed for Season 2 on FOX

Fox has certainly struck a chord with audiences regarding the network’s newest singing competition as The Masked Singer has officially been renewed for a second season.

The Masked Singer takes well-known celebrities who perform a musical number each week. The celebrities identity is hidden by elaborate costumes, and each week, the panel of judges, the audience and viewers all try to guess who his behind the mask. The show has turned out to be a ton of fun, and the entire internet is getting in on the guessing action with theories flying in all directions.

The show is hosted by Nick Cannon and enlists the help of the featured panelist including Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke.

The season two renewal was officially announced on Wednesday via The Masked Singer‘s social media accounts. They posted to Twitter, “You want it, we’ve got it! #TheMaskedSinger has been renewed for Season 2.” Check out the post below.

So far, the show has unmasked celebrities such as Margaret Cho, Tommy Chong, Antonio Brown, and Terry Bradshaw. America is captivated trying to figure out who remains behind the masks.

The series is based on an international format and is produced by Endemol Shine North America. The show was developed for the U.S. and is executive-produced by Craig Plestis (Minute to Win It, The Winner Is). Izzie Pick Ibarra (Dancing with the Stars, Breaking Pointe) also serves as an executive producer, and Alex Rudzinski (Dancing with the Stars, Grease: Live) directs.
