In a recent interview, Pedro Pascal, known for his role in The Last of Us, humorously referred to himself as an “asshole,” drawing parallels between his character Joel Miller and his own personality. During the discussion with co-star Bella Ramsey, Pascal playfully acknowledged the similarities, highlighting his shared traits with the character.
Ramsey, on the other hand, provided a more relaxed response, expressing how naturally she connected with her character Ellie. She revealed that Ellie’s American accent had become a part of her own persona, making it effortless for her to embody the role. Ramsey humorously mentioned that she even swears in an American accent, as it feels more authentic and comfortable for her.
As for the release of The Last of Us Season 2, no specific timeframe has been announced yet. Initially, filming was expected to commence in early 2024, but the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike has caused delays in casting and writing for the show.
Showrunner Craig Mazin emphasized that Season 2 will differ from both the first season and the original video game, promising a unique and distinct adaptation. Mazin and Neil Druckmann aim to create a show that reflects their vision rather than a direct replica of the game.
