The Last of Us: Bella Ramsey Expresses Concern for Internet’s Fascination with Pedro Pascal as ‘Daddy’

Bella Ramsey, known for her role in “The Last of Us,” expresses genuine concern over Pedro Pascal‘s frequent portrayal of father figures in various projects, leading fans to affectionately label him as “daddy.” Ramsey shares her worries about the extent of this trend, while still acknowledging Pascal’s remarkable talent and widespread popularity.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Ramsey admits, “I initially played along with it, but now I’m concerned it may have gone too far. I’m unsure if he still enjoys it; I should ask him. He’s rightfully become a global phenomenon because he’s truly exceptional.”

Pascal himself addresses the “daddy” talk during a roundtable discussion with other actors for THR. He humorously acknowledges the role-related nature of the label, saying, “Yes, I am having fun with it. [The daddy thing] seems a little role-related. There was a period where the Mandalorian is very daddy to baby Grogu, and Joel is very daddy to Ellie. These are daddy parts. That’s what it is.” When asked directly if he is a daddy, Pascal responds with a playful nod to the camera, saying, “I’m not a daddy, and I’m not going to be a daddy.”

The Last of Us

Regarding the future of “The Last of Us” series, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s Head of Drama, reveals to Deadline that showrunner Craig Mazin and executive producer Neil Druckmann are still determining where the series will ultimately conclude. While they have a vision for a potential third season, they are taking it one season at a time, and no guarantees have been made regarding Season 3.

As fans continue to enjoy the first season of “The Last of Us” on HBO Max, the question remains: What are your thoughts on Bella Ramsey’s concerns about Pedro Pascal’s “Daddy” status? Share your thoughts in the comments or reach out to our writer @NateBrail on Twitter!
