‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 3 Trailer to Drop During Super Bowl LIII

If you’re tuning into the big game today, expect to see the first trailer for season three of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. A teaser was dropped by the streamer earlier this week, which surprisingly showed June (Elisabeth Moss) dressed as and walking amongst the Marthas. It was revealed that the full trailer was to come during the Super Bowl.

It’s an interesting twist seeing how season 2 ended with June’s future very up in the air. Thanks to the Waterford’s Martha, Rita, June was presented with the opportunity to escape the oppressive Gilead. She was also able to convince Serena to let her take Holly/Nicole with her so that she could grow up in a normal environment. The only problem was when she got to her getaway ride, June opted to give the baby to Emily (Alexis Bledel) instead and stay behind to ensure the safety of her daughter, Hannah, whom she had before the fall of America.

So, when season three comes around not only will the Waterfords be on high alert for Nicole, but June will once again be fighting for her and her daughter’s freedom. According to Hulu, fans can expect “startling reunions, betrayals and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead that will force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: ‘Blessed be the fight.’” You can watch the teaser below!

The full trailer will premiere sometime during the Super Bowl LIII!
