‘The Good Doctor’ Episode Preview – ‘Smile’

There are only two new episodes left in the first season of ABC’s The Good Doctor and it sure looks like Monday night’s will a doozy!

In the preview and synopsis below, we learn that Shaun’s patient is about to undergo surgery which will allow her to smile for the first time.  Trouble erupts when Shaun goes against Dr. Marcus Andrews’ diagnosis.  Shaun tells the patient that the operation is not medically necessary and that the side effects can be pretty severe which causes the patient to opt out of having the procedure done.  Meanwhile, Claire and Morgan are dealing with a patient who is lying about their identity.

Synopsis:

From Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, Beau Garrett as Jessica Preston, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman and Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki.  The series is written by David Shore (House).  Shore is also an executive producer along with Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O), David Kim and Sebastian Lee.

The Good Doctor airs Mondays at 10 PM EST on ABC.  Will you be watching?
