Fans have fallen in love with The Good Doctor thanks to lovable characters like Dr. Shaun Murphy and the entire staff at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.
The series centers around Doctor Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore), a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome who relocates from a quiet country life to join a prestigious hospital’s surgical unit. Murphy is completely alone in the world and experiences several challenges when it comes to his surgical career. He is unable to personally connect with those around him but Shaun uses his extraordinary medical gifts to save lives and challenge the skepticism of his colleagues.
This Monday’s episode titled 22 Steps is sure to be a tear-jerker as Dr. Murphy is about to encounter what just might be his most emotionally-charged and personal medical case yet. The official synopsis of this week’s episode reads as follows:
“Dr. Shaun Murphy has to confront prejudice from an unlikely source when he takes on the case of a patient with autism, and Dr. Jared Kalu has to learn to accept his limitations as a surgeon.”
