The Flash: Star Danielle Panabaker to Direct an Episode of Season 5

Daniella Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, on CW’s The Flash will make her directorial  debut during the show’s fifth season. Panabaker announced the news via Instagram, expressing her excitement and gratitude that it will be with her Flash family.

Panabaker has been a part of the show since the very beginning, so it is exciting to see her take on a new role. She isn’t the first Flash actor to take the reigns behind the camera as Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells) has directed two episode of the show, ‘The Once and Future Flash’ and ‘Elongated Journey Into Night.’

Filming has kicked off for the fifth season of the superhero show, and fans can expect some more news on what’s coming this season during San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Panabaker shared on Instagram a photo of The Flash cast as kids to celebrate their upcoming appearance at the convention. All that we know so far is that the season will focus heavily on the daughter of Barry and Iris, whose time-traveling antics have gotten her in serious trouble. The Season 4 finale has Dawn revealing her true identity to her parents.

For Caitlin, she had a big revelation at the end of the season when she remembered a childhood bike accident. When a young Caitlin looked into a mirror, her eyes were blue, which means that she was a metahuman before the particle accelerator explosion. This connection is made as she remembers her father, so perhaps we will finally learn more about her past and Killer Frost will return.

The Flash returns October 9, 2018 on The CW.
