The Flash: Grant Gustin in Negotiations to Return for Season Nine – Are You Watching?

According Deadline, The Flash star is close to signing a deal for a ninth season of Grant Gustin as the deal is expected to be completed soon and will only be for 15 episodes.
The eighth season of The CW’s superhero series is only just beginning to explore Barry Allen’s next chapter as the Scarlet Speedster, yet it seems like the network is dead set on keeping him for at least one more season.
According to the most recent news, Gustin is currently in talks for a one-year contract, but a multi-season deal was also reported. The contract will also come with a significant pay increase, which will likely earn him over $200,000 per episode.
More so, it’s possible that only 15 episodes are ordered and that Gustin is unwilling to do more than that, thus the writers’ room will most likely have to work around the cap if it turns out to be true.
The news comes as the CW may be acquired, which has made the prospects of a future for the Arrowverse unknown, despite the fact that most fans would agree that The Flash has been on autopilot ever since Crisis on Infinite Earths, the company must feel confident about keeping it alive for at least a while longer.
He himself is interested in continuing to wear the costume on television, but based on what he said at the conclusion of season 7, a lot of his co-stars are not. “For most of the cast, seven is it; nevertheless, I think it would be fantastic if we could continue after that,” He told Entertainment Tonight previously.
Ultimately, it raises the question of whether the next season will be the show’s last, but that also depends on The CW’s future.
