Riverdale may be all the rage right now, but come the end of the year it’ll be the town of Glendale that people will be talking about. Starring Kiernan Shipka in the titular role, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a Riverdale spinoff, will be adapted from its comic book counterpart and put a darker twist on the beloved witch that Melissa Joan Hart played on ABC Family for seven seasons. So far, we’ve gotten a look at the official title and a behind-the-scenes look at the table read, but now the series has released it’s first poster!
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared the first look on Twitter with the caption: Here we go! So exciting…..#Sabrina #Chilling

The minimalist poster just further adds to our anticipation for the show, which Netflix clearly has a ton of faith in seeing as they have already ordered two 10-episodes seasons of it. It shows an outline of Sabrina with her signature headband and trusty feline sidekick, Salem. Aguirre-Sacasa gave us a special look at what Salem the cat will look like on the series earlier this year.

In addition to Shipka, the series will also star Ross Lynch as Harvey Finkle, Lucy Davis as Aunt Hilda, Miranda Otto as Aunt Zelda, Jaz Sinclair as Sabrina’s friend Rosalind Walker, and Tati Gabrielle as her rival Prudence. Always one to provide us with the goods (clearly), Aguirre-Sacasa also shared a sneak peek of Sabrina and Harvey looking super adorable walking hand in hand.
Well, it’s out there. A 1st look at Harvey and Sabrina from the “Chilling Adventures of #Sabrina.” ADORBS, right? pic.twitter.com/9n8cznpv2c

The cast has been busy filming in Vancouver and occasionally share photos on social media of them all hanging out together. We absolutely can’t wait to see them all in action on the small screen!

The series doesn’t have an official release date yet but we expect it to be sometime late Fall! What do you think of the new poster?
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
