The Final Trailer for Season 2 of ‘Stranger Things’ is Jam-Packed with New Footage and Terrors

It’s Friday the 13th! What better day than today for some ghoulish goodness!  Netflix’s Stranger Things has been throwing it back with their promotional posters lately, honoring the old school, classic horror films which have inspired the series.  Yesterday, they began a Friday the 13th style countdown to the release of a new trailer and we’re excited to say, IT’S HERE!

The brand new and final trailer for season 2 of Stranger Things gives us a completely new look at the upcoming season.  Whereas the first trailer focused mostly on the boys, in the new trailer, we get to see more of Joyce and Sherrif Hopper.  We also get a more in-depth look at Eleven as well as our first glimpses of series newcomer Paul Reiser.  Jam-packed with new footage, this trailer is sure to turn your world upside down.  Check out the new and final trailer for Stranger Things below:

The second season will pick in 1984, about a year after where the first season leaves off.  Will (Schnapp) is seeing mysterious flashbacks to images from the Upside Down and he’s having some difficulty separating them from his reality.  Will’s mom, Joyce (Ryder) is doing her best to keep everything normal for him but, at the same time, she has started dating an old high school classmate (Sean Astin).  In an effort to protect Joyce, Will and the kids, Sheriff Jim Hopper (Harbour) is doing whatever he can to keep the crazy events they’ve all just experienced on the down low. But, perhaps the most interesting plot line of them all is that we will get to learn about Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) backstory.

The official synopsis for the upcoming second season also promises sinister dangers:

Stranger Things 2: It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

We can’t wait to see this new season!  Stranger Things season 2 will premiere on Friday, October 27th on Netflix.  Are you ready to journey back to the Upside Down?
