“The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.” – Stephen King, The Dark Tower
Thusly began Roland’s quest that spanned three decades of my life; beginning with book one, The Gunslinger, published in 1982, and ending with book eight, The Wind Through the Keyhole published in 2012. Roland’s tale is one of epic proportions; it is easy to see how fans have become attached after such a lengthy period of time. When it was announced that The Dark Tower film adaption was a mere 95 minutes, fans voiced concern. Is it even possible, in less than two hours, to capture the essence of Roland Deschain, the darkness behind the Man in Black and the significance of saving The Tower? Considering what I have seen thus far, I am going to say… Yes! And I am not the only one. Stephen King has also given his thumbs up…
It’s true THE DARK TOWER movie runs a clean 95 minutes. Like the first book in the series (224 pages), it’s all killer and no filler.

Have faith my fellow fans. It is not the length of the movie that matters, it is finding satisfaction in the story.
