The Cast of ‘Yellowstone’ are Immensely Grateful for Their Fanbase

When Taylor Sheridan debuted the Dutton family in 2018 with the premiere of Yellowstone, he knew precisely what he was doing. However, fans had no concept of the wild ride they were about to embark upon as they watched events from episode one unravel.

Our story begins by introducing us to John Dutton, a man with both physical and emotional wounds. He is a complex character; he is the owner of a ranch, father figure, widower and has many enemies – but his friends also admire him for his power, dedication and passion. The key to this show lies in its characters: each member of John’s family circle as well as his adversaries are portrayed with an equal degree of vigor and emotion – Kevin Costner truly brings them all to life!

The strength of Yellowstone lies within its captivating characters – both lovable and difficult to embrace. It’s only through the combined efforts of a talented cast and crew that this expansive universe, known as ‘the Yellowverse’, was made possible. Here, viewers are taken on different journeys across various branches of the Dutton family tree; all showcasing unique accounts with distinctive stories along their paths.

The Yellowstone Instagram account shared an emotional video in which the cast expressed both their immense gratitude for and amazement at the incredible fan base that has formed around this epic saga of the Dutton family. Viewers were moved to tears as they watched, starting with a clip featuring Kevin Costner’s John Dutton thanking a raucous crowd cheering him on as he steps into his role as Montana’s Governor. Afterwards some of Yellowstone’s most renowned stars opened up about how meaningful it is to have such dedicated fans.

Cole Hauser, the actor behind the character Rip Wheeler, has described playing him as an out-of-this world experience.

“Man, it’s pretty amazing — the support, not only for the show this year and myself just walking around here in Montana, and all over the country, really just the fan base.”

Wearing the Dutton name feels remarkable and even when filming stops, the cast can sense it. Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) was surprised by how swiftly fans embraced them – he’s been enthralled with their admiration over time.

“It’s been amazing to watch the popularity of the show grow over the years and especially the past couple of years.”

Yellowstone has been captivating viewers for a while, yet only recently achieved recognition from the mainstream. However, once fans finally got their first taste of the iconic Dutton Ranch air, they were hooked and never looked back.

Kelly Reilly, the talented actress behind fan-favorite Beth Dutton, has been overwhelmed by her incredibly dedicated and passionate fanbase. She says it best herself: “You always hope that people will like what you work on – right?” Absolutely! We can certainly appreciate all their hard work because the audience enjoys every second of it reflected on our screens.

The stars really connected with the audience during their conversations, discussing how Yellowstone has become a bonding point for families who watch it together. It was evident that this series brings generations of people closer and Jen Landon, daughter to iconic Michael Landon understands first-hand what it is like to be part of such an influential series. Her insight into her father’s impact uncovered just how significant television can be in someone’s life.

“It’s amazing when you feel like the work is actually affecting people positively. And the interactions that I have with fans as I move through the world are the interactions are so positive and make me feel really good about what I do.”

Ian Bohen echoed those thoughts and expressed his pride in the draw of family he has witnessed. He was moved to hear children share how this experience is connecting them with their parents, even as a fan.

“A show can blow up and have an instant fan base and be short-lived, but when you have people that talk about it. You have, you know, children that say that you’re getting closer to their parents because they’ve watched it together and, you know, grandparents and grandkids, and it’s snowballing upwards, and so it’s a gift. It’s a blessing. I’m incredibly honored to be a part of Yellowstone.”

Bentley’s latest quote stirred up some powerful emotion in fans, and it serves as a reminder of why he is such an exceptional actor for the part of Jamie Dutton. He manages to make sense out of Jamie’s dark yet light sides with impeccable accuracy that no other actor would have been able to capture. Even though his character tends to make choices that many don’t agree with and puts himself above others at times, Bentley brings life into this role through human nature.

“You work hard, and you want to bring something to the role so the fans can experience some emotion and some depth. So you give me the confidence, and I appreciate you — thank you.”

Even though we’re not yet back on Team Jamie, there’s no denying that we’ll always be in the Yellowstone universe. With half of season five already filmed and all its available episodes ready to watch on Peacock now, fans can easily relive their favorite Dutton family dramas, loves, and chaos over and over again!
