The Book of Boba Fett: Season Finale Receives Show’s Worst Rotten Tomatoes Score

The Book of Boba Fett‘s season finale aired yesterday, and the verdict is in. The majority believes that while it does not live up to The Mandalorian‘s high standards, the narrative was worth it in the end if only to advance Din Djarin and Grogu’s tale and start their third season of exploits.

The drawback is that this leaves Temuera Morrison’s titular bounty hunter out in the cold. He didn’t appear in any of the series’ two best episodes, and we never found out why he wanted to become a crime lord.

While the conclusion was undoubtedly action-packed, Fett’s motives remain a mystery.

The season finale, titled, “In the Name of Honor,” received the worst Rotten Tomatoes score of the entire series. The episode was a 47% at the time of writing this article. The previous two episodes, all centered around The Mandalorian, received a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, before you jump to hasty judgments, there are a few things to consider. For starters, the rating is based on just 17 reviews, which is a minuscule sample size. Second, after 145 reviews and a 60% audience score, the show’s overall rating is 82%, even if it has only a 60% audience approval.

The Book of Boba Fett will always be a footnote in The Mandalorian‘s history, and while it didn’t quite stick the landing, there was still a lot to enjoy here. Let’s hope we get to see more of Morrison’s Fett in future Star Wars series, even if he doesn’t have his own second season.
