With Amy away at a Neurobiology Conference, Sheldon decides to hang out with Raj. As Sheldon begins to annoy Raj, he tells Sheldon to look through data to find anomalies. They discover an asteroid and fight over what to name it. Sheldon wins the naming rights if he agrees that any child he and Amy have be named after him.
Penny wants Leonard to see Dr. Gallo, a psychiatrist, to help secure a sale. Leonard agrees to see her and they immediately begin talking about his mother. When Leonard’s appointment goes well, Penny visits the Dr. Gallo to make the sale, but Dr. Gallo calls her out for using her husband to do her dirty work and they begin talking about her.
Stuart decides that it’s time to move out and give Howard and Bernadette’s their privacy back, but when he leaves, they realize that they actually will miss him. Does this mean they will be making some big relationship decisions in the near future?
This episode was a great way to bring us down from our Shamy high and set things up for the rest of the season. But why was no one talking about Shamy’s big night? Does Sheldon not kiss and tell? Anyway, it was nice to see the other characters shine in this episode and this 2016 opener did a fine job of keeping the plot moving after the winter finale.
