Robert Pattinson said he will do “art-house porn” if fans don’t like his version of The Batman, which is set to arrive in 2021.
In an interview with the Guardian, Pattison mentioned that he’s already annoyed with all the questions being asked about The Batman.
The Batman is achievement, he says. Pattinson said yes to the part because “I felt a connection to it, I don’t know why,” but also because, “I just really wanted it.” The role has a “power”, which is why “everyone is attracted to it. It’s an unidentifiable thing.” But he’s already sick of the questions. He just wants to get on with making the film. “I’m already remembering what it’s like to talk about a movie where there’s an expectation. Whenever you say anything, people are like, ‘Argh! You idiot!’ Like, dude, I haven’t even started yet!”
I point out it’s a lot to live up to. “But there is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I don’t need to worry about anyone else.”
Then, he makes his career ultimatum. What will happen if we’re not hot for his version of Batman? “Porn,” he joked. “But art-house porn.”
Matt Reeves will direct The Batman, with Andy Serkis, Zoë Kravitz, Peter Sarsgaard, Jeffrey Wright, and Colin Farrell are set to star in the film.
The Batman will be released on June 25, 2021.
This is post P-90x. I’m saying I watched the videos. I’m not saying I participated. Born in my mom’s basement, I’ve stayed there to embody the stereotype. One day I will rise up… to the main floor of the house.
