The ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ DVD Will Have Plenty of Deleted Scenes

Right now, it’s hard for us to look beyond the theater debut of Avengers: Infinity War. We’ve got tickets to see it every night of opening weekend and we’ll be dragging friends and family to see it in the weeks that follow.

A film of its size demands to be seen more than once. Plus, we’ll have to see it a number of times to catch the scenes we miss when we’re crying nearly inconsolably. Seriously, we’ve already got tissues ready to go.

Of course, with a film like this one, there was bound to be a number of deleted scenes. So many in fact, that it’s a rarity for the Russo brothers.

In speaking with Digital Spy, they discussed the difference between Winter Soldier/Civil War and Infinity War.

‘We were very tight with the scripts on Winter Soldier and Civil War, so there weren’t a lot of extras. This is a very big movie with a lot of characters in it, and we played around with a lot of improvisation because we had new chemistry that we were defining between characters. It was the first time ever that all these characters were on screen together, so we played around with quite a bit of footage, and I think there will be some good stuff for the DVD.’

Since we’re expecting heartache from Infinity War, we’re hoping that those deleted scenes will bring us some joy and laughter. We’re also hoping to see some behind the scenes looks at what went into filming some of those scenes we’ve already seen in trailers. Especially the ones between Doctor Strange and Spider-Man as well as Star-Lord and Iron Man.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th.
