The Anticipation of ‘Black Panther’ is so Real Lupita Nyong’o Couldn’t Score Tickets

When tickets for Black Panther went on sale, the pop culture realm went crazy. We got the alert about 10 minutes after it was sent and didn’t get our choice seats, but, we still got into the theater. So it comes as no surprise that Fandango announced Black Panther took the fastest selling Marvel film spot from Captain America: Civil War.

It goes without saying that some fans won’t get to be at the film’s big opening night, but we sure didn’t expect one of those people to be Lupita Nyong’o herself.

The actress, who plays Nakia, took to social media to share her story when she realized she still needed to grab her own pair of opening night tickets. She said she wanted to experience it with the fans, but…it didn’t go as she planned.

All that being said, we’re sure Lupita will find her ticket to opening night, and if she still needs to be someone’s plus one, well, we’ve got an extra for her.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th.
