The ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 Trailer Is Finally Here!
It looks like “welcome to your tape” may be out and “shake it like a Polaroid picture” is in. Keeping up with the details surrounding Season 2 of Netlifx’s 13 Reasons Why has surely been a whirlwind this past week. Frist, Netflix released a short teaser, then a day later came a full teaser and release date, then exclusive photos, and now they’ve released a full trailer for the season. Even better? The show premieres on May 18th, so we only have to wait one more week.
A controversy clouded season 1 of 13 Reasons Why followed a group of students (and one teacher) who received a set of tapes recorded by Hannah Baker before she committed suicide detailing just what part they played in her death. While some people’s “reasons” were more minor than others, no one stood out more than Bryce Walker who Hannah revealed to have raped her and later revealed that he did the same to her friend Jessica. By the time the season came to a close, the tapes were public knowledge and the teens were being interviewed. Based on the trailer, it definitely looks like Bryce and his impending trial are going to be a massive story this season.
“It felt like this whole thing was going to be over, but it’s not,” Clay voices over the opening scene as he passes Bryce walking down the halls of their high school. Then a Polaroid falls out of his locker with a message on the back saying “Hannah wasn’t the only one.” Presumably, these photos are going to take the place of Hannah’s tapes this season.
We also get a glimpse as to what role Hannah (Katherine Langford) will be playing in the second season. While she may appear in some flashbacks as the kids recount stories in court, we see in the trailer that she appears to Clay a few time and one time speaks to him saying, “What are you going to do about that?”

The trailer is packed full of drama as the after-effects of Season 1 blend together with whatever story they are setting up next. Many have predicted that Tyler’s arsenal of guns he had in his room last season would be playing a huge part in the sophomore season, but the trailer doesn’t focus too much on that. Instead, it focuses a lot on Bryce and what those threatening messages…
…and mysterious photos might mean.
As well as just what lengths Clay will go to to get to the bottom of it and find justice for Hannah.

13 Reasons Why hits Netflix on May 18th!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
