Tales of the Walking Dead: Crew Member Hospitalized Due to On-Set Boat Accident

A Tales of the Walking Dead crew member was injured on set and taken to a hospital, according to Variety.

On Monday night, just as filming was coming to a close for the day, an accident occurred. A plank connected the boat to the pier during the incident. The crew member fell into the water and was taken to a hospital by ambulance, but she is in good condition. When the event took place, there was a marine safety team on hand that is now investigating the accident.

The production on the series was halted on Tuesday and restarted that same day.

Tales of the Walking Dead is a six-episode episodic anthology series that will feature characters from The Walking Dead universe. It’s expected to premiere this summer on AMC and AMC Plus. The program was first announced as in development in September 2020 and ordered to series in October 2021.

The main cast includes Anthony Edwards, Jillian Bell, Terry Crews, Daniella Pineda, Parker Posey, and Poppy Liu. Samantha Morton reprises her role as Alpha in the spinoff series. Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of “The Walking Dead” universe, will executive produce the program with showrunner Channing Powell. Haifaa al-Mansour, Deborah Kampmeier, and Tara Nicole Weyr will each helm one episode in addition to Michael Satrazemis directing the other three episodes.

Last month, while filming the AMC show’s 11th and final season, Norman Reedus, star of the main “Walking Dead” series, suffered a concussion on set. He was reported to be recovering well after the accident, and filming for the program concluded on March 30.
