‘iZombie’ Recap: ‘Dead Beat’ and ‘Salivation Army’

Zombie mode activated! You have to hand it to the iZombie writers, they sure do know how to pull off one helluva season finale. And this one was an epic two-hour installment full of revelations, twists, and my personal favorite-- a zombie outbreak! I have to commend the show for going out with a bang. Quite literally-- there was so much blood and brain goo everywhere I thought I was in one of the Saw movies. The double-packed finale brought many story threads from season one together in the most...

‘The 100’ Recap: ‘Fallen’

The dust has yet to settle in regards to the continuing controversy surrounding The 100, but in the words of Queen, “the show must go on.” And it effortlessly brought it’s A-game with this week’s episode titled “Fallen.” Número nueve was written by Charmaine DeGraté and Javier Grillo-Marxuach, and as much as I (generally) enjoy the overall writing of the show, I have to admit that this was probably the best written episode this season thus far, and had a whole lot of revelations jam-packed into its snug little timeslot....

‘iZombie’ Recap: ‘Reflections of How Liv Used To Be’

Next week is the two-hour season finale of iZombie, and all I can say is… I can’t fricken wait! This recent episode was everything that I’ve been hoping for the last few weeks. Because here’s the thing, when you have a bunch of characters lying to each other about what’s really going on it makes for a borderline boring build up, but when that information starts to leak out and people become in the know--everything becomes oddly satisfying! Let’s attempt to untangle this undead web they’ve so intricately woven. The...

‘iZombie’ Recap ‘Poor Some Sugar, Zombie’

This week’s episode of iZombie if by far the most entertaining of the season (so far). It was sneaky, and sharp and really kept the overall plot momentum going despite being case-centric. Episodes tend to vary, between plot development and figuring out the case, but the two seemed to work seamlessly and in tandem. There were laughs, tensions rising and Liv Moore giving her best a lap dance. What more could you want? Liv on Stripper Brains Can we please take a moment to commend the prop team, or crew,...

‘iZombie’ Recap ‘He Blinded Me… With Science’

Zombie’s just wanna have fun! And talk about science? The return of iZombie from its brief hiatus was a great one. They really know how to give the audience a good time. I almost want to be a zombie. Well, almost. There were so many wonderful and laugh-inducing moments on this all new episode, so I’m just going to dive right in. Blaine is Back and Better then Before I have always been a fan of David Anders and this week he sure did deliver. After being killed, he rose...

‘iZombie’ Recap ‘The Whopper’

This episode felt more like a refresher course than any real new development, although Blaine was heavily explored, I had a few hesitations about the overall structure of the episode. But before I get nitpicky, let’s get into some other happenings of the latest installment of iZombie. Liv’s brain of the week was discovered by Major and Ravi while they were doing the digging for tainted Utopium. Do these people search for anything other than drugs? Don’t answer that. Utopium is an important part of the cure and I guess...

‘iZombie’ Recap ‘Physician, Heal Thy Selfie”

I actually really enjoyed this episode. When I sat down to watch I was feeling a little meh and I was like, come on, I can’t take tonight’s episode if it’s going to be a total mishmosh. But it was exceptional. I think that we’re finally getting to the meat of things and the stakes have risen to a point where there might actually be consequences for people’s actions. Oh, who would have thunk! This week Liv is void of brains (for the start of the episode anyway) when...

‘iZombie’ Recap: ‘Fifty Shades of Grey Matter’

Will they ever hone in on the fact that zombies exist? It seemed to be just within their grasp this episode but alas to no avail. Back talking, never gets caught Blaine was finally backed into a corner, or handcuffed to a table in an interrogation room, and I’m kind of glad. Although, assistant district attorney Peyton seems to be swapping spit with the wrong guy these days. Luckily she finds out who Blaine really is, but not before she slept with him! You could imagine her surprise and...
