San Diego Comic-Con takes place in just a few weeks, and along with the future of TV, film and more, we will even get some fast food thrown in. Taco Bell will be bringing back their Nacho Fries and to celebrate, they’re setting some special up at Comic Con! The marketing campaign will have its grand finale culminate in the form of a Demolition Man pop-up!
Demolition Man has become a sci-fi cult classic in which John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone), a police officer in 2032 is assigned to track down criminal Simon Phoenix. In 2023, something called The Franchise Wars took place-sounds terrible right? Well it wasn’t so terrible, because Taco Bell was the only franchise to survive. No problems there!
Chief Brand Officer of Taco Bell Corp, said in a press release,
“When you create a fake trailer for a fake movie for a real product that surpasses all expectations of products (and movie trailers), it seems inevitable that you have to create a sequel,”And what better way to tease this sequel, than pay homage to a real movie’s 25th anniversary – one that had a very compelling view of a fictional future?”
The Taco Bell will be all dressed up from July 19th to July 21st. We will be over at San Diego Comic Con on the 17th and will have all the crazy details.
If you aren’t able to make it out this year, you can enjoy the fun on July 12th, when Nacho Fries hit stores across the country. You can also stream Demolition Man on FandangoNow!
The Demolition Man-themed Taco Bell will be available from July 19th to July 21st in San Diego Comic-Con. More details are expected to be released as we get closer to the convention date.
