Superman And Lois continues to impress viewers week after week. It’s probably the best Superman show to date, and this week’s episode continued that trend. Now, The CW has released the Superman And Lois 1×09 trailer, giving you a peek at the next episode.
This week we learned more about John Henry Irons through flashbacks to his own world. The rest of his story has seemingly been revealed, which made for a truly heartbreaking episode.
Before we dive too much into last week’s episode, here is the promised preview for “Loyal Subjekts”. The synopsis will be provided further below, too!
Spoilers follow for Superman And Lois 1×08 “Holding The Wrench”
John Henry Irons’ history with Lois was revealed alongside why he hates Superman. It turns out they had a daughter together, named Natalie. The evil Superman of that world ended up murdering John Henry Iron’s, Lois Lane.
An even bigger surprise was the fact that Lois Lane, the one we all know, had a miscarriage. She got pregnant for the third time after the boys and lost the baby and it’s still wreaking havoc on her emotionally. Understandably, so.
We have no idea how this information will affect the series going forward. Is it possible we might see the otherworld version of Natalie in some capacity? That would certainly serve to make things more awkward than they already are.
At least next week’s episode will start trying to answer some of the questions we have. Lois will be investigating why Smallville is so important to Morgan Edge. This is important since we’re still not 100% sure how he gets a bunch of Kryptonians under his control. We know it involves the X-Kryptonite, though.
Here’s the promised Synopsis for the episode.
DETAILS – Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Chrissy (guest star Sofia Hasmik), and Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) team up to piece together the significance of Smallville to Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner). Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Dylan Walsh and Wole Parks also star. The episode was directed by Eric Dean Seaton and written by Andrew N. Wong. You can see an extended “producer’s cut” of the episode for free the next day on The CW’s website and app.
This episode of Superman And Lois will air on The CW on June 8.
