Supergirl Preview ‘Call to Action’
Supergirl needs to take the fight to Agent Liberty, who has stepped up to fill the shoes of Mercy and Otis Graves. He is continuing their plan of destroying all sympathy for aliens on Earth, and has finally reached the point where he has a large enough following to strike back. Donning masks similar to the villain, citizens are going after known aliens. Supergirl will do everything in her power to stop the hate group, but this is a fight she hasn’t fought before. How will she react to civilians who stand in opposition to her. She can’t use her powers because it would risk killing someone. And now that Alex is on Colonel Haley’s bad side, the DEO may not be able to offer much support. At least, not right away. Alex will have to jump through hoops in order to deploy a force.
So perhaps this will lead to the return of Guardian. James was warned not to go back out there, but he did anyway. He has Ben Lockwood whispering in his ear, and James might believe that Guardian is the answer, not Supergirl. He’s risking a lot to help, but he might be able to handle the hate group better than Supergirl. At least in the sense that he doesn’t have super powers. What is Ben’s goal in getting James over to his side? He was the one who fabricated Guardian’s reappearance before James wore the suit again last week. What does he hope to gain? Or does he want James to end up in prison where he would no longer be a threat at CatCo.
