‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Adds Cary Elwes, Jake Busey

Just when you thought it was inconceivable for the Stranger Things series to get any better, Netflix announced two incredible guest stars for the show’s upcoming third season.

Princess Bride star Cary Elwes will be joining the cast in the upside down for season three along with Starship Troopers star Jake Busey.  Elwes will be playing the role of Mayor Kline who is described as, “handsome, slick, and sleazy, Mayor Kline is your classic 80s politician — more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.” Busey will be playing a character named Bruce, “a journalist for The Hawkins Post with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

Additional information regarding plot lines or a release date is being kept well under wraps, however, we can expect more Stranger Things news beginning to surface in the upcoming weeks.  At last month’s PaleyFest LA, executive producer Shawn Levy told the crowd, “We are going back to work next month, and we’re super excited.”

Also previously announced to be joining the Stranger Things season three cast is Little Women star Maya Hawke while the young Priah Ferguson will be promoted to a reoccurring role on the series.

From executive productions the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Fin Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin.
