The hit Netflix series Stranger Things is returning for its second season and, on Tuesday released an ominous and dark new teaser and poster hinting at some treacherous times ahead in season 2.  The teaser shows the four boys Mike (played by Fin Wolfhard), Dustin (played by Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (played by Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (played by Noah Schnapp) riding their bikes straight into a super creepy and, perhaps supernatural dark red storm which is forming over the town.

The new season 2 description down right gives us chills.  After battling with the likes of monstrous demagogon, the kids along with help from Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will’s mom Joyce (Winona Ryder), Sherrif Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and some new friends are going be taking on a whole new and even more sinister monster.  The description reads:

“It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived,”

Finally, the new teasers give us an official release date for the highly anticipated season two of the series.  Up until now, we’ve simply been told by Netflix that the show would return around Halloween.  The new teaser confirms Stranger Things season 2 will be returning on October 27th (conveniently a Friday so you can binge through all the episodes before you go trick-or-treating).

Check out the teaser below.  Stranger Things season 2 will be available through Netflix starting on October 27th.
